One headlight bulb whiter than the other

Recently got my passenger side bi-xenon bulb replaced; noticed that it is less white than my original bulb. Service advisor states it is normal. Is it? TIA

with something like HID bulbs, it's normal. but the devil is in the details.
inherent with the design is the fact that they age. if the bulbs are purchased
separately, 1) the age (ergo color balance) of the newer bulb many not match
that of the older bulb, 2) manufacturing variance (lot numbers) may allow for a
slight, yet detectable difference in color temperature.

resolve this by buying in pairs and try to ask for same manuf & lot#. install
together and save the single bulb as back up...like a spare tire with the crappy
rim.

generally speaking, the newer bulb is the whiter one so I'm intrigued. do you
know if the bulb is same manuf as the old and same model?

follow up thought: perhaps your eyes are detecting the aged bulb as being
bluer, ie actually dimmer, colder...but your brain tells you it's whiter/brighter,
a common interpretation.

I always buy a couple of bulbs, the last purchase was 7000K xenon headlight bulbs. Looks great and gives a very white light.

When only one xenon bulb is changed then they will look different for a few weeks and then the new one will change color slightly as it "burns in".

I think the new MB bulbs have changed manufacturer, but they should still look similar enough in a few weeks.
