I was wondering if anyone else had trouble getting all the oil out of the car? Using the mitivac and the smallest tube I could only get 3 quarts out using the fill opening. I couldn't find any other spot the tube would fit. I assume the tube by the passenger firewall is the trans fluid fill. The filter doesn't allow the tube to go at all. And I know there is no drain plug. 03 Sl500
If anyone has done this please help. thanks

huh? Don't you just get under the car and drain the oil like any other car?? Let the oil drain, change the filter, then put in the new oil up top...that's pretty standard procedure...what's the deal?

The tube at the firewall is the oil tube. I use a suction device from John Dow Industries to suck the oil out. It does not use a tube to remove the oil because as you state, the tube will not go all the way to the bottom of the pan. Your car does have a drain plug under the car. Break down and buy the MB DVD STAR Service manual. Good luck.
