I might finally pull the trigger...
Well, I found a black 2005 SL500 w/ 51k miles in PRISTINE condition (from the pics, yet to tell in person) for roughly $36,000.
Now I know this price seems VERY low, so I was wondering if there is anything special I should look out for. The seller already has the carfax and service history from the dealer, and so far everything has checked out. One owner, California Car, no accidents, etc...
Is there anything that I should be paranoid about? I know that there are only slight changes to the exterior with 2005, but is that all? Thank you

MBWorld Fanatic!
You can get a 03 or 04 with half as many miles for the same price. You can get a 03/04 SL55 for less with the same mileage. The only big difference in the 2005 is the navigation....not worth paying that much more for the mileage.

Have a MB dealer check over it, well worth the hour or so of labor they will charge you. Keep in mind ball joints, thrust links/bushings, tires and brakes are often worn around the 50k mark if they have not already been replaced.

Thanks for the tips!
I saw the car and....all I can say is wow (not in a good way)
E-Brake pedal was missing cover, hood was misaligned and it had 4 different tires. So the search continues...
Again thank you!
