Head unit software update
215 (CL), 220 (S) as of MY04, 230 (SL) as of MY05
DTB P-B-82.85/503a JAN07 – Head unit software update using service disc (special tool) 220589052200 initially released APR06. Conditions corrected: “Flash File System Damage…” displayed, head unit resets, no audio at startup until ignition is recycled, cannot navigate to a location saved using memory function, etc.
DIY: Simply insert disc into head unit disc drive. Purchase disc from any dealership parts counter or online dealer net $9. Not certain if any undisclosed extras are included (i.e.: ETA, telephone signal strength to display, etc.)
PM your email address and will forward a copy of the DTB including update procedure – include your VIN if you want a copy of your vehicle’s MB datacard listing equipment and paint codes, initial delivery date, etc.
