SL/R230: How to reset Brake Service?

You'll have a fault with the SBC system (you have electronic brakes).
If it's a white screen that says "Service brake/visit workshop" then I would suspect that your SBC pump is failing.
Was the warning there before you changed the brake pads? (apart from a brake wear warning) Did you deactivate SBC before changing brake pads?

you have to reset the computer by pressing the gas pedal while key is on position and wait 10 sec and key to off position and let go of gas pedal.
my e500 4matic had the same prob and solved by doing this.

I had a similar message come up and when I replaced my breake pads the message will still there. The problem was that the brake sonsors palsctic coating wore through and exposed the contact to the rotor.
The only way to correct this is to replace the brake sensors.
The rest that was mentioned above does work, however it will not resolve this issue if your brake sensor is damaged.
