SL/R230: No sound from COMAND

No sound from COMAND
Just noticed this today on my '05 SL500: while the radio, telephone, NAV, etc. all power up, there is no sound coming from any of the speakers. For example, if I'm using the telephone, I can use the voice activation to dial and call the number and the person at the other end can hear me but I can't hear them. Similarly, I can see the CD's track time moving along at the bottom of the screen but no sound. Ditto for the NAV. Any thoughts?

I had this happen to me once, but it went away after I removed the disk from the dash, powered down the head unit, turned off the car and then started it up again, powered it back up and put the disk back in. It's like the system got confused or something. It hasn't happened since though, thank goodness. I know this doesn't necessarily help, it just may be good to know that someone else had the same problem momentarily.

Thanks for the advice (and for not suggesting I try adjusting the volume control!). Unfortunately, it didn't work so off I go to the dealer.
