From the information that I have read on this forum Iam kinda scared to make the plunge to buy an SL500. The cost of repairs and parts is what really turns me off. I have heard that I should purchase extended warranty, but all the extended warranty companies that are sold in my area dont seem to cover all the important stuff like ABC suspension, roof assembly. Once the SL500 gets older and has a lot of mileage on it its even harder to find extended warranty for it.

From 2003-2009 the R230 body styles have been similar, so Iam thinking of leasing a 2003-2004 R230 for cheap, and when that lease is up, I can start another lease. the good thing is the 2003-2009 body design didnt changed much so it should be easy for me to find a cheap lease on a R230 that still looks nice. If I lease the vehicle I wont be able to add bodykits or exhaust or paint colors or re do the interior, but the stock look with after market rims still look pretty nice.

from what i know...leasing used can quite expensive

that is true, if I lease a car for 4 years and then lease another car for 4 years, I could probally use the money spent on the lease to just buy the car. If I plan to lease the R230 over and over again I might as well just buy the car.

^ this is true...but what i meant was, sometimes leasing a used model that is say a year old can be more expensive then leasing a new one...someone whos an expert on leases should be able to help you out more
