I'll post SL AMG options later. It's late and I've got to get out of here.
Pricing is not expected to be 'officially' released until shortly before the launch date. Since the SL55 is rather exclusive, I would hope to see something in writing sometime after the new SL500 is launched in March.
I will post as soon as I receive concrete information. ...RAB

Anyone know why US version is rated at 469 HP while Euro versions are rated at 476 HP??? Is this due to a difference in tuning, exhaust or emission control or just rating system?

Nobody responded to the above post....no one have an answer???
As Nabzy said there has been an announced delay in the delivery of the SL 55...posssibly until December...
Other news from factory sources according to the Star:
SL V12 will debut in 2003 with new 5.5 liter twin turbo V-12 spected for 430 BHP....same engine will also begin to appear in the S, CL and Maybach.

Not really sure but i think it may be it's the tuning and emission part that the euro has a little bit more hp. Actually this is kind of like the same situation with the newer E46 M3 Us spec is 333hp while euro spec E46 M3 is 346hp.
