Pictures of my new SL500!

The SL has been on my radar for a long time. I finally took the plunge and picked one up!

The car is loaded with AMG Sport Package, Keyless Go, Comfort Package, Wood Wheel, Bi-Xenon, and Sirius. It only had 14,xxx miles when I picked it up which is really low for a 2005!

Man thats nice!! That was my second choice in colors when I bought mine. It was a toss up between Silver and White. Both look great. I love the wheels as well.

Thanks! I was debating between the Firemist Red and White. The Firemist Red seems almost impossible to find though and since this one popped up first it worked for me! My E Class was Iridum Silver which was a cool color and my ML was Black so I wanted to change things up with the SL. The White also has a nice contrast with the tinted windows which I really like!

The White on Stone color combo is nice. All too often, SL interiors are Ash/Black.

Aren't those rims the standard SL600 rims for that year? Did they come with the Sport package, or were they specified on the options list?

These wheels are standard when you select the AMG Sport Package option on the SL500. I believe these are also the same wheels that come standard on the SL55 and SL600 in 2005.

Gotcha. It must have been an optional wheel on the SL55?

Question for you guys. For those that have the ventilated seats...do you actually feel air blowing out of the seats? I'm wondering if mine are not working because when I turn them on I can not feel any difference. I know on other manufactures when you turn them on you can really feel the air blowing. I tried both seats and they behave the same. I was going to take it into the dealer but wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something!

Change the leather in your car to light grey, or grey. Grey interior on white convertibles look really nice.

That is lovely...those rims on the SL work. I've seen them on other MB brands but they seem out of place. More pics!!!!

14K on a 2005 -- wow, nice catch! And it looks great, too! I'll go with everyone else -- the color combination is really classy.

Very nice looking car, and those wheels were on my SL600 part of the Sport package. I switched wheel but keep them because I still like them.

No. Those weren't offered from the factory on the SL55.

I never much liked white SL's, but I have to say yours looks great!

Have fun and be safe!

Congrats on the new ride! The ventilated seats in MB's are very subtle, I've had them in all my MB's and none of them move air vigorously. It's just enough to keep your backside dry in warmer conditions. I test drove an Infiniti last year and was impressed that my *** acutually got COLD with their ventilated seats. I've never had to turn DOWN the V.S. because my backside was too cold in an MB.

I dropped the car off at the dealer this morning to have the ventilated seats checked out as well as a clunk coming from the front left during hard accel. You were right about the ventilated seats, they said they were working fine! I'm used to the cars that blow out a lot of cold air. The clunk was a bad engine mount. How the heck does an engine mount go bad at such low miles? Good thing it's under warranty.
