Had to drive in the rain (for only the 3rd time) last night and discovered that the passenger side wiper had somehow become warped in the middle. It did not make contact with the windshield in the center section of its sweep, thereby missing a 12" swath of rain on the windshield. I quickly pulled over to a safe area to inspect the wiper and saw the warped center area; tried to bend it back into better shape, but it had no effect. Replaced it today for $33; ouch! I told the parts mgr to have an M-B rep examine the deformation for possible design/production flaw. Anyone else have this problem?

mine lasted 30,000 miles before replacing. Not sure what the life of these things are, but i held up pretty well under severe weather conditions.
