2003 sl500 headrest/seat removal
I HAVE SHEEPSKIN SEAT COVER THAT I WANT TO INSTALL. The local MB dealer said I must extend the headrest 100%, then pull. I did not work, there must be a release??? Please help me, thanks, RP

Yep, that's how it works. I had to pull mine out to repair the loose cover on them. Just raise them all the way up and then grasp both rods and give it a yank up. Easy breezy. Reverse to install.
