Hyper-miling in an SL550?

I was stuck driving about 55 miles to the airport in commuter traffic mostly going the speed limit earlier this week. When the road opened up about ten miles before the airport, I noticed my fuel economy was over 26 mpg, so I decided to keep going the speed limit all of the way to the airpot. Believe me, this was a new experience, but I had 27.9mpg by the time I reached the parking garage. During my business trip, I thought a couple of times about how high could I get the mileage if I tried to take it easy the entire way home. So on the return trip, I was light on the pedal and travelled the speed limit. On the highway portion, about 25 miles, I average 31.3mpg, and for the entire trip I averaged 29.2mpg. Not bad for a car that the EPA say will get 21mpg on the highway.

Now how do I go about getting that gas guzzler tax back.
