its not fair to assume all amg cars are abused, you can make the agrument that because the amg cars tend to be bought my more purists and car guys that they are babied more. i doubt you'll find a sl55 as babied as mine, and the prefious owner was a lawyer i know's wife. one of the reason i bought it.

No disrespect to AMG cars or there owners
This SL600 is buttery smooth
There are many things to say about a car previously owned by an attorney
To each his own

2007 SL550
pilota1 -- Congratulations! I'm glad you found a beauty. I enjoy the pano roof -- it really makes it an incredible car, even in inclement weather.

Benz-O-Rama and VendettaMB -- You guys seriously win on the "making up for lost time" award, but I know what you mean. I bought a 2007 with 3,500 miles on it in January -- and put another 15,000 on it in the past 7 months.

2004 SL600, 2006 Range Rover SC
If anyone else is looking, I have been considering letting my black/black 2004 SL600 go. More miles than some of the others you may find around with 36k, but a low average for its age and will be priced accordingly. I bought it with 25k in June of 2007 after the retired couple that bought it new traded it in against a ridiculouly awesome coach motorhome.

I have had zero issues with this car and would not hesitate to drive it anywhere on the continent (where there isn't snow, of course. ). Completely stock other than the addition of satellite radio. I also have the complete NAV CD set, the SL-specific MB indoor dust cover, and the car has 20% tint on the sides and rear. Brought it in 1 week prior to warranty expiration (they wouldn't extend me since I wasn't the original owner) and I was treated extremely well. (Also helped that I am friends with a Tech at the dealer.)

Reason for considering selling it is that I've been carrying my previous home around for 3 years now due to the crappy market and want to drop the listing by a chunk in order to move it along. I'll be hunting for another 600 as soon as I get rid of the 2nd house, as this car was an outstanding introduction to SL ownership.

I'll be putting together a For Sale listing with pics, records, etc, soon. (Unless the house sells. )
