2007 SL550, 2008 S65, Golf cart and a few non-MB vehicles
Anyone able to use child seat?
I couldn't find any threads on this. Has anyone here been able to disable the passenger side airbag in order to use a child seat? We have a newborn and would like to know if it's even possible to take him anywhere in this car ('07 SL550).
Just curious prior to asking the service advisor tomorrow.

From what I've been able to determine, it looks like the MB child seat has some kind of a transmitter that signals the air bag to turn off (the owners manual says something about not leaving a cell phone on the passenger seat). Does anyone know if there is a cheaper way of turning the air bag off without spending big $ at the dealer? Also, how much is it to get a seat from MB?
