How much does your dealer charge for an oil change?

Just got my first oil change for my SL500. When I called and asked, the person said it was $115. I said I have an SL500, would it cost more? He said no.

It was the same price for any car brought to the dealer. Looking at the receipt I can't help but wonder if people who bring in the C class also pay $115.

Cost breakdown:
$30 labor
$18 oil filter
$53.55 mobil 1 (9 quarts)
$2.25 seal ring
$5.00 disposal fee
$6.13 tax

Actually that price is about right. Here in the Mid Atlantic, I was calling around to dealers and that is about the going rate. There is a coupon on one dealers website in Northern VA that had a special for $89.00 for the month of August. Best deal I've found so far...

Best of luck to you and your search for the under $100 oil change....

Agree,

Both HBL and ASC just emailed their current specials.
Mobil 1 Oil Change for $89.00. Pretty good deal if you consider the oil itself costs around 60.00.

I didn't think the price was too bad. I was expecting it to be $150 when I called. But what I was suprised about was that it's the same price no matter which car you had.

My dealer charges $105.00. But, I've been doing them myself with a topside oil extractor, for some time now. The M113 (500) engine takes 7 qts of Mobile One (European formula) @ $7.00 per qt +$20.00 for the OEM MB filter at the dealer. So, figure $70.00 to do it yourself.

$75.00 for the oil extractor:
