A/C Setting for MAX COLD Airflow thru vents?
Can anyone give me the correct settings for MAXIMUM AIR FLOW from the vents in the dash? right now I feel like there is a restriction somewhere... also the adjustments on the vent ducts as well... thanks in advance for your help!

For maximum airflow through the dash vents you adjust the distribution knobs accordingly (picture). Also, have the three thumbwheels that adjust air volume rotated to full open.
If you think you have a restriction, I suggest comparing your car with another SL. Another approach is to check the position of all of the air flaps with Mercedes Star Diagnosis system. The dealer technicians all have this, and the Chinese sell clones of it on eBay for around $700 shipped.

Dumb question but on the three thumbwheels, what setting is full open. I've played with them and it seems there is not much difference.
I think full open and to center air will answer the OP question.
