Door Lock Chirp
Anyone know how to turn on and off the chirp when you lock and unlock on a 03?

I don't think the alarm chirp is an option. I had to get the SmartTOP device to get the chirp added to my '05 SL500. (It adds a lot of other options too.)

I think the dealer can get that to work for you but not sure if they will be willing. I heard it is related to some "netherland settings".

My 2004 SL did not have a chirp when I lock/unlock until I took it in for repairs when the car wasnt responding to my key until really close range. Somehow afterwards when they were done with the repairs, I got the chirp which is kinda nice...beep beep!
