Has anyone done warranty repairs thru Chrysler Service Contracts ?

Hi there, Michael Case is offering a great price on extended warranty through Chrysler Service Contracts. Please post your experience if you have used this warranty through Chrysler for repairs @ MB dealers. Thanks

I bought an extended warranty from him for my SL55 and have used it numerous times over the last 18 months at my dealer. No problems so far.

Talking Mike is the man

This IMO is the best contract offered for out of warranty vehicles. It covers dealers as well as private shops. Have had no problems what so ever. The next best purchase besides the car itself.

SOMETHING SMELLS FISHY!

I had called Michael Case over the course of a three week period. He finally called me back and stated he would email a document that I would need to take to the MB dealership to complete along with my inspection. He emailed me but there was no document attached! I have since left him several voice-mail messages and emails alerting him of this in addition to questions I have had about the Extended Warranty policies. I have yet to hear anything back from him.

I don't believe in trying to force someone to take my business or money. Something is definitely fishy about the business practices of Michael Case. I'm sure he isn't the only person in the United States that sells decent Extended Warranty policies!

I will keep trying to call. I read so many good stories about this warranty , although I do agree why doesnt someone return voice mails. We all get them at work or wherever?? Its business for them too??

Does anyone know if these warranties ( chryslerfactoryplans.com) - on the maximum coverage is the same as a factory MB?

I called local dealer and the 1 year extend my CPO is $2500 and a 2yr from online is $2200. I know its a no brainer but at the same time I kinda want to make sure everything is covered...the last thing I want is thinking Im covererd and have a strut or two fail..

thanks

I used them on an 01' E55 without any problems. I wanted to use them on my 03' SL500 but they changed their policy and will not offer warranties to any car over 70k miles. This was after I crossed over the 70k mark last month...

RE: Chrysler Warranty

I purchased a 4 year/100K max care warranty through Michael Case after verifing that both my local dealer and local Mercedes Specialist will work with the Chrysler Warranty. Both will. Michael was very professional and easy to work with.

As fyi, because my Mercedes SL factory warranty had expired last December, Chrysler did require a pretty thorough inspection be performed by my MB dealer with a specific form to fill in, but the warranty was a done deal after the inspection was complete.

I'm now feeling much better about potential future SL600 repair costs.

I have the Fidelity (Platinum Level) warranty and it's saved my butt twice so far. Convertible top needed the pump replaced ($2100.00) and just recently, the convertible flaps, passenger door speaker needed to be replaced, as well as a leaking trans connector ($1300.00)

I paid my $100.00 deductible each time. That's it.

Things not well with Chrysler Service contracts - 55 complaints with Michigan Atty General, even their own people are giving conflicting information and printed material.

RE: CSC Warranty

Rather than sweat the fine print too much, I would suggest that you take your car to your MB dealer and have them work with Chrysler on the phone before doing any warranty repairs. My dealer does exactly that and I have never encountered any problem with Chrysler.

I agree, however I like to avoid problems before they start.

I did finally get through to the manager of service contracts, past a completely unknowledgeable and incompetent group of employees, who told me Chrysler only issued one Maximum Care contract in the past 2 years. They also advised the contract is between me, and the selling dealer, and I should "take up any disputes with them." Bear in mind that Chrysler LLC publishes the acceptance of the contract, and Michael Noyes endorses as an "Authorized Factory Rep"? I did get them to finally recognize the plan the dealer sold me was not the same plan, plan ID, name or conditions they issued.

I actually have 3 different Maximum Care plans in my possession (issued 3/09, 10/09 and my current, no date). Bear i mind, Chrysler was reorganized from bankruptcy in Nov '09.

It's a little challenging when the physical documentation of features issued by the dealer, and plan ID, doesn't match the plan Chrysler issued me a month later. "Take it or leave it" was the response, further inflaming the situation. The manager finally recognized this, and the debacle continues...

These guys are just purely business ineffective. The first MBZ visit will tell...
