SL/R230: Door gloveboxes

Door gloveboxes
Both door gloveboxes are loose so if you put your hand on any of them, they make terrible sounds. Dealer said its normal, which i dont believe. There is no way mercedes builds cars so that 2005 interior starts all getting shaky.
does anyone know how to get rid of it? They just doesnt close tightly and makes sounds when someone presses them.

I have a 2008 and they make noise when the interior is very hot. Once it cools down inside the noise goes away. Drives me a little crazy also. If anyone know a solution I would like to know also. Before I bought my 08 I test drove a 06 SL55 and those arm rests were very noisy also.

These are garbage. Look for my old post...
here somewhere. I was able to get them to replace one of them under warranty with the help of a good SA. Can't say that I can give you much hope of that though. Fit, or maybe the finish coming off the button is about your only way to warranty help on that one.
