Another snag....
Well, it's seems today is problem day. Brought a new iphone 3GS. Never linked a phone with the leads supplied in the car. The Salesman at Apple sold me a "Scosche" charging adapter and said it would also work as a phone for the car. When plugging it in, on my iphone it says, that this phone is not authorized and do I want to go to Airplane mode to reduce audio interference? Now I have never set up a phone in the car and find the manual confusing anyway, but had a go and went to "Phone" on the command Center and it also said the phone was not authorized...![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
Any help here with guiding me through this proceedure as I'm sure others have an iphone in their car?
Thx again.

2008 SL600 w/AMG pkg
I don't think it will work for the phone. My dealer said that these MB are very picky, AND the part was picky about which bluetooth phone it would work with well. I used the MB part, and the iPhone 3gs. Works great, but I have not got it dialing from voice unless I add a voice tag in the radio. In other words, it will not work from the phone voice dial recognition.

He's either talking about the MB Bluetooth puck that plugs into your center console, or the puck you plug your phone into, although I'm not aware of one for the iPhone. I use the Bluetooth puck. You can get them from your dealer. I think they run around $400(?)

Yes, I was talking about the bluetooth puck for the newer SL's that you can get from Mercedes. I think mine was about $400. It WILL work with the iphone 3gs.
