21" rims on R230?
Hello and happy holidays to all...
i found my holiday gift ot myself, or at least hope so. found a crazy good deal on some 21" lowenharts and already purchased (it was too good regardless if they fit my current vehicle or not)... will be delivered in a week or so. anyways, i've seen applications of 19-20" rims but never anything larger. do larger diameter rims not fit or make the vehicle look unpleasant? was hoping the 1" extra wasnt going to make a difference, but even if it does, they are worth quite a bit more than i paid so i am not worried.

I don't think they are going to work unless you get some really low profile tires, like 20 series. You can't really put on a wheel / tire combo with a larger overall diameter because of the steering knuckle above the front tire.

i figured as much... ill check it out when they come in.. if not, ill put them up for sale here on the forums. i know they fit on an s-class...

2005 Crossfire SRT-6
I just had a SL63 in the shop with 20/21 combo.............they fit but looked stupid with the little rubberbands for tires(especially on a 63). The rear tires were 25 series section width if that helps at all.

IMHO I pushed the limit between classy and tacky when I put 20's on my ride.
It will look like a tonka toy with the 21's but if thats what you like, you have to look at it. Much less deal with the suspension and handling issues.
I have 305/35/20 and 255/30/20 0n 20x 10 in the rear and 20.9.5 in the front asanti.
