Anyone ever Upgrade and add an amp to their car??
Just the thought of removing that head unit brings tears to my eyes.
Has anyone seriously upgraded their system successfully using the stock head unit-
2007 sl550

There are several different ways to do it. Most all are going to be a little costly.. On some cars you can use the audison bit 1 and deep everything digital up to the amps(audison also) Other ways are going to require to bypass of the fibre optics in the car and maybe reprogramming the head unit.
I am wating for te new Alpine imprint processor just released at the ces. If it works the way it is supposed to then, that is the direction I will go with my car.
Fosgate also has the 360.2 and JL has the cleensweep as to help with audio integration .
