SL/R230: Turn off Battery Light???

Turn off Battery Light???
I changed the rear battery in my 03 500 and since then the battery light has not turned off. Is there a way I can do it or do I need to take it to the dealer??

I just changed my rear battery too and didn't have any problems. I wasn't getting any battery message before though, just "convenience functions unavailable" if the car sat for a couple days.

If by "battery light" you are referring to an icon of a battery in the cluster display and the background is red, then you changed the wrong battery. If you changed the correct battery, the fault indication should clear by itself.
