SL55/CLK/CLS thick/ventilated charcoal steering wheel, has the space for paddle shifters, but I never got around to purchasing a set.

Price $200 plus shipping, FIRM

Does it require modification for paddle shifter to work if I only have shift button on my car?

That is something I am unsure of, I have seen others that have made it happen, but not sure what they did exactly.

Wheel is currently pending, but have not received funds. First to pay will receive the wheel. The wheel was cleaned up and is currently boxed and ready for shipment.

In the mean time, here are some additional pics:

Thanks!

FYI, Paddle shift mod is non-trivial, perhaps undoable. I've been working since last May to retrofit paddleshifts into my 05 R230; no luck yet. I have wiring diagrams, ordered the new steering wheel control module, and have dissected every wire trace from the wheel to the shifter. Spent probably 40 hours on this, and still no luck. I'm not giving up, but be aware, this is a very difficult endeavor. It was plug-and-play on my BMW, fyi.

Have you resolved the problem?

I just completed my mod of the shifters for my 2005 SL55. I purchased the E63 paddles and mounted only one of the old circuit in the new paddle shifter the (+). I kept the (-) paddle shifter intact and used the old circuit as part of the wiring (they use some sort of resistor). Mounting the paddles on the steering wheel was a *****...Had to remove half of the plastic frame that was inside the wheel, cut some of the foam inside, and cut & shave the original plastic cover to make it fit with the paddle...Everything works now, except a SRS warning which I will get cleared in the next day or so.
