When One Goes ...

the other will not be far behind. The problem is that you may be told that the bushing cannot be replaced and the entire control arm assemblies are the only option. It take one heck of a press to push the old bushings out and the new ones in. Toy will need a frontend alignment regardless of which way you go.

common problem on this model car (and many other cars).. the bushings are very simple to press out, but you may not like the labor charges.. On average I probably do a set of lower control arm bushings on an R230/W220 atleast once or twice a week at the dealer i work at

and yes, I would go ahead and do both bushings at once unless you had an entire control arm replaced recently where the bushing is still in great condition

RE: Bushings

I had alignment checked at my dealer this week, and they replaced both of mine, the originals were cracked. Yes they can be replaced, and the car tracks and steers noticibly better. Total cost was around $850, but my warranty covered everything but the deductable.
