Any SL owners out there who have enough experience with the BMW 650 (6-series) coupe to offer any advice to one considering the purchase of one?

Or know of websites similar to this, but for BMW owners?

I owned a 2007 650i convertible bought new. It later burned to a puddle of metal sitting in my garage during the San Diego wildfires. As a replacement I purchased the SL55.

Power: 650i is a dog compared to the SL. My friend's M6 is much better.

Luxury: electronics in 650 far superior except the horrible slowness of the iDrive interface. I hear this has been ironed out in newer models. Heads-up display was very cool. Nav looked much better in the 650, many more user settings available. Stereo system sound better in 650. Back seat was occasionally useful. Much more noise in 650 due to fabric top.

Transmission: 6 series offers manual. That would be fun in my SL!

Looks: 650= ugly duckling, SL = gorgeous

Handling: 650 had active steering which was cool after I got used to it. Reduced understeer quite a bit.

Braking: SL wins by far

Now this comparison is not really apples to apples because truly the 650 is the competitor to the SL550 not the AMG.
