Tire pressure for 305/25/20

Hello,

On my 2003 SL500 I have aftermarket 20's. I just changed tires and my rear middles were worn almost flat while my outsides had a good amount of thread left. I checked my PSI and it was at 33psi. The tire installer filled my new ones to 50psi?

Isn't middle wearing a sign of over inflating? But I don't think I can go any lower than 33psi. Confused with what it should be.

There is a 3 step formula to use to figure out the ideal PSI. PM me and let me know how technical you are. Both 33 and 50 are not correct. 50 is the maximum cold psi allowed by the tire maker and will reduce your foot print by as much as 10%.
