Top closed will not open or the trunk SL 2004
top would not completly shut and lock so I open top again it went back perfactuly but would not compleatly lock when I close the top after doing this 4 or 5 times I figure i will take it to dealer but when I got home now I can not open the top or niether I can open the trunk the red warning is on to lock the top but it wont do it
any ideas?

try my pillow trick
If there is a gap along the front edge of the trunk, try to force a feather pillow in there to hold up the flaps against the underside of the trunk lid; you may need to pillow both sides. Then see if you are able to close the top the rest of the way.
