Check your trunk flaps
Had the car in for a service A yesterday and asked them to give it a thorough checkout since my warranty is expiring at the end of next month.
The SA pointed out that the flaps on the inside of the trunk lid were drooping and should be replaced with an updated part. The flaps should fit tight against the inside of the trunk lid.
Cost under warranty: $0, cost without warranty: $750.
Other than than the trunk flaps and a leaky gas spring on the center flap, the first 35k miles has been rock solid.
So I'm going to take my chances and not get an extended warranty. I've got plenty of cash available if something should go wrong so I can't see spending $4000 for an extended warranty I may not use.
