Slight squeal / under car when braking
I have a 2005 SL500. When moving (or even not moving) I hear a slight yelping sound for a split second (almost sounds like a puppy) coming from under the rear (maybe middle of rear axle) when I _softly_ apply the brake pedal.
Pressing hard does not create the sound, and the sound does disappear after repeated pressing... until the car moves or the brake pedal is released fully for a bit.
The sound does not seem to be coming from either rear wheel per se (i.e. calipers, brake shoes, etc.) but more from well underneath. It almost sounds like something needs lubricating and is squealing a bit. Coincidentally, the car was just washed this past weekend, and this was the first time it was driven since then.
Thoughts? Best way to hone in / troubleshoot? No issues with stopping, no warning lights... hoping this is minor and more of a lubrication issue.
Help!
