question regarding designo package
cant seem to find info on what designo edition consits of...
Im also trying to figure out if my car has designo package or not. I have a 2003 SL500...i think the color is called brilliant silver metallic.. has wood grain interior and wood grain steering wheel...
any help would be appreciated.. thanks

i have a designo sl550 it has the mystik white pearl color and also massagers in the seats.. it has designo emblems on the seats and from what i heard that was all.. on the invoice it said the previous owner paid an extra $11,488 for the designo edition version.. hope this helped

Designo edition refers to special exterior and interior colors and badging. Initially for SL models there were only two colors called "Black Diamond" and "Slate Blue" Designo editions, but I've seen SL's with "Mystic White" and "Espresso" Designo colors. In 2003 they had a "Silver" Designo launch edition which was a $9500 option, and supposedly they only make 1500 of them. Nappa leather interior, Alacantra suede headliner, 5-spoke 18" special edition wheels, and Designo badged floor mats I believe are also part of the package.
