I am looking for filter options on my sl600, thought about the scorpion style intake from speedriven, also thought about k&n, but I also saw there is a dry high flow filter from afe. any input on what experience you have had? I like the scorpion style but not sure if I will miss my engine cover and I also dont know what the mercedes techs will think of it if I have a warranty claim. I know the k&n and afe's can be done for around 100, anyone know a price on the scorpion?

I have found the MB techs think these cars are perfect( even though all they do is fix them) when mine goes in I take everyhing iff as they blame that first. Then after I wasite my $ on re/re they fins the real issue.. The car
they gave me grief over my radars, then my lic plate lights, hid's, sub, literally everything. It's annoying especially as it always the car. I personally would leave engine stuff alone. Or wait and see how yr car Is for any issues for a few months b4 spending lots of mod cash.

not a bad idea, I guess I can keep it simple for now. I plan to do a little bit of under the hood inspection after I finish moving in a week or two, if the filters look shot I may take a look into some options. I just don't know for sure what all work needs to be done on this car with the miles it has
