Pimping an SL ... help needed please!
Hi guys,
Been over 18months since I have been on this site, and I am looking to finally purchase an SL500, here in the UK.
What I would like to know is:
- what bits does the AMG kit consist of?
- how much is the kit?
- are 20" wheels the max that can fit on the SL? As a minimum I want 19" AMG alloys, or else I'll wait to get some 20's...
- Can the leather be changed easily? Like if I buy one with black leathers, and I wanted to add in some red? Ideally looking at buying one with Berry Red nappa to start with, but depends on my search!
Seen a review here between the 350 and the 500 ... not much price difference now 2nd hand, so may go for the higher spec, but of course more on insurance!!

we dont get sl350's over here....and to be honest I don't understand why they build them, they seam so underpowered for a car that heavy.
it depends on which amg kit you are talking about, you can probably find some used skirts and bumper covers for cheap from a non-amg w/ sport package, but to go to a newer true amg, you can guestimate 3500 to 4000 or better (and I guess all this stuff is stateside info, not sure what the market is in the UK)
