This is actual paint. 99% of the cars out there with matte finishes are vinyl wraps. I kinda feel like the matte look has come and gone, but I will give them credit, I don't know of any other manufacture outside of the super car range, that is offering such colors. (by the way, the 99% number is my number, but it seems like every car I've seen with a matte finish is vinyl wrapped.)

Just an update on this specific car. This is one in a limited run of only one hundred cars being billed as "Night Edition". The dealer says its limited edition, but they fail to tell you only one hundred will be built. Seems like a pretty big selling point to forget to add no? At any rate, I'm sure the matte paint is still on the Designo options menu, so you could nearly duplicate it if you really wanted to even after the one hundred sell out.
