Is it easy to install a steering wheel?

I jus got a steering wheel in the other day and I was wondering if I could install it myself. I heard that you could unplug the battery in some cars then remove the airbag sensors, but the SL has two batteries. Just wondering if anyone has done it before and maybe could give a few tips. Thanks!

just brg it to the merc dealer... the slight chance of you messing it up the airbag and either have it go off on you or not work if you ever need it is not worth the little extra cash.

I took it to a friend of mine that is a mechanic. It took him like five minutes. All he needed was some kind of snap on tip to unscrew the two screws in the back to release the air bags. He didnt even disconnect the batteries.

Nice looking wheel! You planning on leaving the other wood or changing it to match the wheel?

I dont know where to go to to change it. I wish it was all carbon fiber. I just started the white matte vinyl wrap too. Boy it's a hassle to mess with that vinyl.
