The only thing you'd need to worry about, is if they'll fit big brakes. The SL500 has puny brakes whilst the SL55AMG and SL600 share the larger AMG brakes. The SL65 get's even larger binders.

Offset should be fine, if they were made for an SL500. But, I saw the For Sale thread and he mentions that they won't fit the brakes on his SL55. They share the same brakes, so they won't fit your SL600 either.

Yah brakes are over rated.

After reading all the threads and reseaching putting a new set of wheels on my SL600 into confusion. How do you purchase a set of wheels off the classified section of this forum?

I understand the tire size and the speedo issue. If offsets an issue and brakes are an issue what should be ask of a seller to make sure they fit my car? The seller of the brabus wheels 18" spent a ton of money and they did not fit his car.

Thoughts?

There's a real good chance that the wheels on my SL600 will be for sale very soon. They're custom made for an SL600 so everything is spot on. Not sure what your budget is though. PM me if interested
