SL/R230: Car Got Stolen

Car Got Stolen
Left the keys with the valet, only to come back and the car is gone. Someone "took" the keys from the valet box - only way of course to steal the 2009 SL550.
The only issue I have is with the TeleAid crap. First they need a police report to activate it. That added an extra 10 minutes. In all it was about 40 minutes from the time we realized the car was gone until they started tracking the car. Nothing. Car never called back.
I found out that it's cell based. Oh and if you disconnect the battery forget it. It doesn't work. In 40 minutes they could have driven it anywhere, disconnected the battery and put it on a flatbed to drive it elsewhere.
It's probably on a boat to Middle East or South America for all I know. Only 12k miles on it!!!
Detectives came, but not sure they can do anything. Sucks.
I think an E65 AMG is next..

Oh, there is a service called MB brace. It has an iPhone application that enables you to track your car. If only I had that service, I could have fired up my iPhone app and it tells you within a mile where your car is.
But of course you can't have it right away, because for 18 months you are legally binded to Tele Aid.
