have 2007 SL550 and cannot open trunk. valet is locked and my keys do not work. top will not go down as it says the cover isn't latched. can i do anything to release rear deck from inside car. (even if i need to remove interior panels) thanks in advance.

Look for trunk release button (pull-up) located on lower half of driver's door

My suggestion about the trunk release button probably won't work; just noticed ".. the valet is locked." I assume you mean the trunk was manually locked with the valet key.

Did you lock the trunk lock with skeleton key,if so the release will not work, you must turn lock where skeleton key inserts to unlock. if your key will not turn lock do not force it because you will break it off in lock. the best move will be to take it to dealer and let them adjust key to work or replace lock
