2005 SL600 Steering Shift Button Problem
Hello,
I have the shift buttons on either side of the steering wheel. I am not sure of the exact intended operation, as I was not the original owner since new.
Sometimes the buttons act as I would assume, the left button is downshift and the right is upshift. Unfortunately, most of the time both buttons upshift. Is this is problem? It seem odd.
If this is in fact a problem, any ideas out there?
I do have the STAR systems and could do some diagnostics.
Thanks,
Greg

The buttons are actually rockers. You can upshift or downshift with either button depending on which side of the button you push. Think of each button as a teetor-totter (fulcrum in the middle).
