R230 ABC issue: What say you?
Love my 2003 SL500 that just had the front right hydropneumatic strut replaced.
Nine months on , the same corner drops 1 1/2 " after an hour of driving and the red warning car to low came on .
So , I just had the hydraulic fluid replaced with updated filter and rodeo ed with the Indy that had performed the strut replacement and they said after their fluid change and rodeo , that the Star dynamic test shows no further faults at this time .
That very night , its still dropping at the front right !
Today the "second opinion" Indy's says the strut is leaking internally and recommends replacing it with an lifetime warranty Arnott strut , after checking it on their Star system.
It seems to me that both Indy's are just guessing because the Star system can not pen point the diagnoses .
Any feed back in diagnosing this issue , that this forum has , will be greatly appreciated .
