I've been looking for new wheels. Seems like the only ones I like are $1K per or more
I've seen how quickly they get trashed from normal wear and tear and I'm just not going to pay that much.

I like multi spokes with a big lip and no bolts or rivets and hub centric fit without adapters, like the HRE 8 series or Vossen VF099.

I can stomach $400 - $500 per wheel (or less ), looking for your suggestions.

You can probably find some used HREs for around 3k and sometimes with tires, too. If that's still over the budget, you can look at Forgestar or maybe some cast wheels.
