SL/R230 SL Pano hardtop. Is it HOT/cold?

2018 S560

SL Pano hardtop. Is it HOT/cold?

Just wondering about the pano hardtop on the SL. I'm getting ready to buy either the 2011 SL550, or the S550. Kind of extremes I know, and I'm having a hard time deciding. WHen I drove the pano top I thought it was very cool, but I wondered if it would be a hot box in the summer and chilly in the winter?

Here in SoCal its like a skylight with its own screen shade that I don't use . As for heat its nil and can be easily remedied with A/C .

If you're buying a light color car I'd suggest getting it otherwise it's useless to me. If I want to see the sky I'd just open the top.

I drove one and noticed a bit more road noise in it due to lack of proper sound insulation perhaps !!!!!!!

It was not an option that I was particularly interested in, but now that I have it, I really like it. I live in Florida, so it is hotter. Regardless, if I were to order a car, I would choose it.
