hello all,
i had the misfortune of having someone key my car on both sides. the front fender and door are both deep down to metal. my question is should i repaint with repair shop, or should i attempt langka or dr. color chips to try to remove it? what are thoughts out there? any experience with these two products? thanks.

thanks all. i agree. probably will take it to professional body shop. but regarding those other products, anyone have experience with them. perhaps i will use them for my other car. does it really work?

If you have a comprehensive rider on your auto policy, you may be able to get the insurance company to foot the bill for this vandalism, subject to any deductible.

I just tried to go the touch-up route w/ a guy who's supposed to great...but it doesn't work, esp for metallic paint. I did this temporarily just so it won't rust, but longer term will be painting for sure.

I have used both products and the results have been OK-- not great but better than slapping some touch up on a chip. As another poster stated the results with metallics are even less acceptable. There is no way that you can match a sprayed finish with slapping on a blob of touch up and then smoothing it out. I would say that the end result is a good "10 footer"-- looks great from 10 feet away.
