Anti theft system (Alarm)
Hi
My 2003 SL500 alarm system has started to make a high pitched beep when locking the car, this sounds for about 4 seconds then stops for about 1 second then starts for 4 seconds and is going for about 15 minutes, it can't be stopped, it even continues when driving. There are no lights flashing or any faults showing on the dash. It is not the same sound as if the system had been activated by a break in. It does not happen when locked with the skeleton key, only with the key fob or locking by the key less go button on the exterior handle.
What is it trying to tell me?
