When I owned a Mitsbishi FTO most the dumb people thought I owned a Maserati or a Mini Aston Martin?! 
The rear of this conversion still looks like an R230 from behind, and nothing like an SLR McLaren. The rear shape looks distorted from the rest of the bodywork. They could have done better by producing a rear kit to really compliment the entire car.
