SL500
New SL owner simple question
So I just purchased an 05 SL500, I haven't had the change to learn the car and read the owner's manual but I have a simple question. It seems like my truck refuses to stay open. When I open it for some reason it slowly lowers itself. Am I missing something? Also there is a little red button on the right side near the seal? What does this do?

The gas filled struts that hold the trunk open need to be replaced.

When the roof is stowed, that little button will hinge it up, to allow access to the trunk.
