Xenon lamp went out in my ML last year. 03 with about 65K at time. Dealer had tech pull and replace in driveway at n/c. Lamp was about $200 from dealer. Hope that helps.

I believe its D1s bulbs, you can order some on ebay for $65 and just install it. Need to be patient with the install. Its pretty straight forward. Pull old one out and connect new one. I did it on my sl55 a few years back and it was that hard, just can't remember the complete process. Also get 6000k bulbs, just as bright but looks alot better

Def can do it yourself if you're at all mechanically inclined. Call the guys at www.hidextra.com and get a replacement bulb (50-65 bucks). 200 is nuts!
