2007 SL600 Goes for Speed Record
A powerful and responsive, 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine is not usually what comes to mind when you think of “green” cars, but – if Bernie Towns and the crew at Speedriven get their way – it soon may be.

Article says 10 second 1/4 mile, but I don't recall Bernie ever posting a time slip. Oh, it does 10's without a doubt, I just don't ever remember him posting times.

I think I'm going to have to bring my car over there when I get back from overseas and have them do a little work.
