2004 SL500 Stored for 6 months - Won't turn over :-(
I have a 2004 SL500 which has been stored for the winter for the past 6 months. Today I was trying to get it ready for the road when I realize both the starter battery was dead (won't turn over) along with the back battery (no power features) as the car would not turn over. The starter battery is fairly new only 2 years old.
In the past years I would only need to charge up the back battery.
So after charging up the front starter battery, I tried once again to start the car. The car would click and all of the dash board indicator lights would come on, the when I try turning it over, the front head lights would flash in some sort of sequence, like some sort of code. then stops. The car still won't turn over.
Anyone else experience this... any advise you have to offer would be greatly appreciated.

Yes , had the same problem.
The solution was to by a new battery, mine is a 2003 and although I did fully charge it before (as I've done several years before) I looked her in for 5 months as I usually do it was not enough, the current is there but the power is gone.
By the way had the same problem with my motorbike - new battery solves the problem.
I could only get hold of a new battery to my SL55 at the MB-dealer as it's a very low battery for its length and with.
