Anyone have the newest version of the navigation disk for rent or sale? Please let me know.

Can you burn a copy? I would have assumed that they were Read Only, Write Protected.

Ebay has them for cheap. I purchased a 2010 Nav disc for my 2006 SL for $100.

Question Do I need firmware update?

I bought a 2010 Nav update for my 2005 SL500. When I installed it, it did a very short software update and then finished the update process. I can see no difference at all with the Nav system since the update. I have seen a few posts about also updating the firmware. Does it make a difference?

Paul, does the Navigation work without the disc after it is installed?

No, if I eject the disk, it tells me I need to have my NAV disk in the NAV DVD player in order to work.
